| A life of fascination with all things, especially people, has led Chris Elley to a habit in film. From dreaming of being everything from a professional basketball player to an archaeologist, Chris continues to fulfill his rabid curiosities through television and film production.
For the last 12 years, Chris has produced in the commercial, independent and corporate arenas on a variety of topics. His work has appeared everywhere from major film festivals to CBS News “60 Minutes” and the Food Network. He is currently touring his third documentary “Barbecue: A Texas Love Story” that highlights the incredible passion and eccentricities of Texans.
One of today’s most interesting speakers on Texas culture, Chris enjoys discussing his native state and its people with anyone and everyone. From his 10,000-mile barbecue journey to his inside look at NASA during the U.S. space race with Russia, Chris’ exposure to Texans of all shapes and sizes helps him put historic and modern events in context to the rest of the world.
Chris is owner and director of Austin-based Electro-Fish Media LLC. He holds an M.A. in Mass Communication. He has previously served as Director of On-Air Marketing and Senior Producer for CBS KEYE-TV as well as held various producing positions in the broadcast and corporate worlds. Chris has been featured on numerous television and radio programs, as well as print and web publications across the country, most recently “BBQ with Bobby Flay” on the Food Network.
